Our History
Standard Companies has roots tied back to 1904, when Omge and Kenelska Rottschafer immigrated from the Netherlands to Grand Rapids and began their retail business, Standard Feed Company. Throughout many years of continuous growth, the company changed names, built strategic partnerships, and expanded operations to various other locations in West Michigan — all amounting to what Standard Companies is today: a parent company of Standard Supply & Lumber, Elevations Design Studio by Zeeland Standard, Keene Lumber, and ZS Exteriors, serving Michigan professionals and remodelers with quality building materials and excellent service.
